Wheels day

Hi blogging world,

on Monday this week we had a wheels day. I if you are wondering what a wheels day is when you bring wheels  like a scooter or a bike and you get to ride it at school.We where in our classes and then we had to be put in little groups. In Te Waka Ako we where put into different groups.There where 3 different events running in each block in the morning we had swimming,the slide and slide and watching. Swimming was where we got to swim in our school pool and it was really fun because I got to swim with my friend play different games in there with different people. The slip and slide was a water slide which was really fun because I got to go down with my friend which was amazing and fun and that I would like to do again. There was also watching where we got to chill and watch the swimmers and slide people because it was really fun because was where we got to do want ever we wanted to well not what ever but we got to chill in the sun.In the middle there was 3 games running. The first game we played was  capture the flag which was really fun. There was also t-ball. Then the last one was the chill space which was my favourite event because we got to chill and there was also things from the gala day where got to buy somethings. Then  we got to play on our. But I didn't bring my wheels s I played with the trolley. Here is a little slide of some photo from the day.

 

                           

Something that was really fun and cool about the wheels day was that there where different and things on which was really fun. I also liked it because we didn't have to learn anything but we got to play and swim and be free chill out. But the best part of it all of it all was that we didn't just get to ride our wheels but we got swim,play games and chill out before the year ends. Netball

Hi blogging world,

Now that netball is over I am sad but I am still happy and proud of how I played. I really loved playing netball with my friends and meeting new friends and people there at netball.  I played for school which was Waikowhai Primary School. We where in pool A for the tournament. I was really proud of me and the girls for coming second in the tournament and I would just like to say thank you to Mr Ross and Nga(Shiya's Aunty our ref) and Mrs Jones. I won all of our games except 2 which we lost and 1 we had a draw. We even got to go to zones for netball. We  had a B team and a A team. Something that was really weird was that both teams won which means that the b team won in pool B and the A team won in Pool A. For zones in final for the B team we vs Hasley drive and we won by 1 point and for The A team they vs three kings and they also won by 1 point. Well after all of that we had our own netball prize giving at school which was really fun because everyone came just for us girls. Well here are some photo's from netball.

Something I really liked how netball was that it was fun and we had a lot of suppose every single time we had a netball game and that all girls had fun and tried there best. I am really sad that netball it over because it was really fun and I got to see my friends every single Saturday. I well always remember my first netball game where struggled because it was our first game every but then on our last game it felt like I had tried my best and that we all did try our best. The Gala Day!!!

Hi blogging world,

this term our school had a gala day. We had about a few weeks ago on Saturday the 25 of November. We made a thinking hat slideshow which was about what we thought about the gala day. I felt really sad that I didn't get to go to the gala day but I had to write about what I thought about the practises of the cultural groups for the gala day. If you don't know what I am talking about the thinking hat slideshow it's about the gala day. It had different colours of hats which is about different types of stuff. So the red hat is about feelings like what you feel about it and blue is like what you thought overall about it. So there are more colours but they are all about different things. Well here is my gala day thinking hat slideshow. 

                     

 Overall what I thought about this was that making this slideshow and writing about is was hard work because I didn't come to the gala day. So what I had to do is like change up the question a little bit so say if it was like What did I think about the gala day I had to change it to what did I think about the practises for the cultural groups.  But some the the hats was really easy to do because I knew what I was going to write about. My favourite slide was the red hat because that one was one of the ones that I didn't struggle on. Inquiry-Paper

Hello blogging world,
At the start of the year we learned that there was going to be a gala day which was so cool. If you are wondering what a gala day is it is a where there are stalls and performance and food. The money we make on the gala day goes to making the the juniors play ground. If you are wondering what our class is doing well we are making paper. So we have been busy making paper for the past few terms like term 3 and 4. For term 2 and 1 we have been planing how and what we are going to make with the  paper.
If you are wondering why we are making recycle paper it's because there are way to many trees getting cut down just for making paper well if you didn't now paper is made out of trees. So with out the trees we would have no oxygen.Also we are making paper because it is Sustainable and recycle. We are making cards like Christmas cards and Birthday cards. If you where wondering how to make it you just need ripped up paper and a mesh and a blender and a container. If you are wondering is it is related to sustainability well it's because we are not cutting down trees but we are reusing the paper to make better paper. It has changed my thinking of how we need to stop making paper out of trees but we need to now make recyclable paper 

So what I learned from making paper was that is was easy to make and that we can use to to make anything and so now we can stop cutting down trees and we can just start making paper.I think that this was hard because we have to try to make a lot more paper because right now we would have 25 or 30 dollars. It was also hard making paper and the cards for the paper and writing  this blog thinking of what to write and why we are even making paper. Well leave a comment down below ask any questions. Novel study-Margaret

Hey blogging world,        For the past few weeks In Te Waka Ako. We where working on a book review.  If you are wondering what a novel study(another way it is call) is well it is a slide which about the book we read there where different slide about different things some of them where a plot which is a story line and character depression  which means where you describe the main character or a minor character. I had a option between  two books to read but I choose to read The tooth.  The tooth was about a little boy and his friend on hunt to find a fossil and dinosaur fossil.  Here is the slide of it. 

What I thought about this book was that is was a nice book that I would like to read again and again and would like to read a more parts of it like if there was a part 2 or the tooth I would  read all it. The hard part the this novel study was finishing it and doing different parts of it and reading the book. The easy part with this novel study was that when I was straggling  I always had a solution to fix it and that I wrote a lot and I new how the story went. Well thanking for coming and having a look at my blog why don't you go have a look at my other blog post. netball prize giving

    Hello blogging world

   This week we had netball prize giving on Wednesday the 27th. It started at 6:00. We had our own netball prize giving which there was a lot of awards. My Favourite part of that prize giving was when we got to eat the food was yum. The tables had lollies and popcorn and chips. Then we had some pizza which was yum. Then we got a crack on with prizes. There was the year 6 and year 5 of the year and the most improved player. I my least favourite part of that day was when we had to leave the prize giving was so short that I was sad because we had to leave. But took a lot of photo's and we a least we go awards. I got 2 awards which was for Saturday netball and Zones netball. We also got pins from the the other prize giving which Auckland netball hosted. But we had our own prize giving with our own awards and food. Here's some photo's down below

I thought for netball it was fun and I tried my best and did my best for the team. It was amazing netball that I wish that the season didn't end I with that we could keep on doing netball because Saturday netball was fun and I got to play with my friends and see my friends in the weekends but I never new that we could come because I now I was doing it for fun and it was experiments for all of the girls.

Cross country

Hello blogging world On Tuesday the the 12th of September my school had a cross country. On the day it was  raining  which was why  we had to go inside and do our games . I was leading  the ball games with 3 other year 6 students. My favourite thing about the day was the ball games because we had some relays with the kids and I got to even play the games with them . So then it was time for my run and I was nervous that I even  had butterflies in my tummy. Plus it was really cold but when I started running I wasn't cold but I was pumped up. here's some photos down below.↓

On the day it was really hard because before we had our race we had a ball game outside with different year groups. But it was so fun playing with the  little kids and my Year 5 friends. As you can see there is a photo of us getting ready for the run. I was really proud of my self because I cam 2nd.

Magical world of Crazy science

Today early we went to a science show which was amazing fun and cool. It wasn't only a science show it was also a magic show. We had one amazing scientist which was Richard  and a cool DJ Robyn. Richard started the show off with 3 rings which was a magic trick that I have seen before.  My favourite part of the crazy science show was everything that he did because it was so amazing that I wanted to try it all at  home. Some of his crazy work was dangerous  because it involved fire but the best part of all of it is when the rocket launched because it was a loud noise that got some of the people scared but I wasn't scared. I wondered how red pompoms came out of his mouth. It was really weird that I could never do it. At the end he did bubbles. I also wonder how what is the biggest bubble in the world. But the one that made me talk was the one when he made  a firework inside which was where  someone could have died . First he  made small ones but as he went on and on he used big tools to make the bubbles  and I  wasn't sure which one was the biggest bubble. The weird part was the nappy one how there is this kind of powder in a nappy and he had it in a cup and so he poured in some yellow liquid which looked really weird and it turned in to solid  gel. 

It was really fun and cool that everyone was so loud that couldn't hear Alfred talking. It was amazing that even balls came out of Alfred's  mouth which was really weird. I wish that he could come back  again and show us more magic and science things.

Camp booklet

Hey blogging world,last week the senior syndicate got the option to go to Mt Ruapehu. What we did when we came back was we did a little booklet about camp.There where different actives in the booklet. The activities were about the things we did when we went to camp.Our first stop was at Hamilton garden where we got to do a scratches hunt. This booklet had different things it even had slides that our friends got to write messages on and sign it. There was also a maze in it which was kind of hard. But my favourite slide was the one we got to write notes about what I have done. I the that I loved mostly about camp was that I got to ski for the first time it was really hard but I got the hang of it. The hard part about it was when every we fell it was so hard to get back up that it took me ages and it would take me ages to but my skies back on when I can't get back up. The booklet was a slide about camp. If you would like to see it is down below.

Something good about camp was that I had fun and I didn't want to leave. After the trip I was sad and happy.Sad because it was really fun and I never wanted to leave because skiing was really fun that I didn't even want a break.I felt happy because I got to see my family again and that we didn't have to be in the cold.

Ako hiko student led toolkit

Talofa lava, blogging world today I got invited to go to a event called toolkit. It was at New Windsor Primary School. It was really fun. I even got to meet new people and made friends with them. . There was also a challenge and even a coding challenge. There where different school that came. Well if you don't know what toolkit means it is like kids running it present things that other kids might not have done before. Well there are 2 sessions where there are different things on and you can choose what every you want well what I choose was Stop motion and kahoot making. Well here are some photo's down below.↓↓

I think maybe next time I would try to present and try different things that I haven't done before. Also try my hardest and not give up on what I am doing.

creative writing-The house

Hi blogging world. Today I am going to be telling you what I have done for creative writing for this week. This week I did creative writing with Mr Ross. What we had to do was something different to what we would usually do. He gave us 2 minutes to find a photo that we could write a lot about. So I choose one that was mysterious and weird. So I wrote a story about 3 girls who just finished school for the term so they choose to go down to the beach and have a picnic once there picnic was finished they went walking around and they found a scary pathway that led to woods. Those 3 girls were me and my other two friends.If you would like to see it is down here  

I think I did well on my story and I know that I am going to be finishing it off. I feel good that I finished it and that I choose this photo because it is really interesting.

Kahoot template.

Hello blogging world for the past few weeks  we have been working on a kahoot about space.My group possum4u we have been making a template to write  out kahoot questions about our story.Our story was called star man it is about a man that is a astrophysicist. It is important to ask questions about the story because you will get more information out from it and see other peoples opinion on what the answer would be.He loves taking photo's of the night sky.Here's a photo of the  template.↓↓
I think that I needed to work on this more because I started it late and I didn't work that fast because I was working on my dot to dot connection on words from the story star man.Also it was hard to finish and get all of the other activities done.

Six thinking hat

Hi blogging world.Today I am going to be talking about our new classes.We have moved in to a digital classes which is called Te waka Ako the canoe of learning.We all came together as a senior syndicate and made a google drawing of the six thinking hat.We had to write what feelings we had or something negative.Our Walt was WALT: de Bono thinking hats to show understanding.Here's what I think about the new classes.↓↓.

Character description

.Last week we went on build your wild self and we had to make a character and describe it.Here's the link.We had to make a character that was a  third of a human and the rest a animal.My animal human name is butterfly girl.Here's my y-chart description.⇊

My characters name is butterfly girl.

Butterfly  girl has butterfly wings that are attached to her back. It is long and floppy, and a nice bright orange and a dark black.It also has a, little of white on it which makes it like  glitter. it feels soft like a thin layer of feathers.she also uses it to go to Paris and USA, Well it is not fabric. She has fluffy ears like a dog.It is like the fluffiest thing in the whole wild world.She also has sticky slimy fingers. So she can stick on anything like a tall building. Well because she has frog hands.She likes it because she can,stick on things and climb high with it.She has horns like a buffalo.She likes her horns  because it looks cloud  but it is smooth like feathers. She also has penguin legs so she loves doing the happy feet dance. She can’t run, so when she runs it looks like she is speed walking.

Butterfly girl loves climbing.She climbs everyday that she tries to not climb it’s like a hobby for her.If you ask her what she wanted to do she would say that she would like to climb.The bad thing is that she goes high where I can’t go.She loves climbing that she even climbs everyday.She  can even climb the top of the sky tower and the Eiffel tower.She is also a dancing.She loves doing the happy feet dance.well you guys know penguins, love the happy feet dance.I love it to but when ever she goes to dancing lessons. She always does it when it is solo.She also loves  flying high.Well why wouldn’t a butterfly love flying.When she goes flying she goes higher and higher until the people in the plane can see her.That how much she loves flying.She is also a good swimmer even though she has wings she still goes swimming  because she is a sporty girl.She also goes crazy if someone hits her so then she starts a fight because she is sporty and she loves fighting well not that  much only a little.She takes singing lessons because she can’t sing.She sometimes tries to sing. But she hates it.Even her parents hate it.

She is cheeky because she loves pranking people that she doesn't even know on the street. Even people in their cars.Here parents are trying to get her help but she doesn't even want to get help.She is cheeky because she is always mean to her younger siblings and her older siblings.But at the same time she is goofy like a 100% goofy.She is like a comedy person.She also loves making people laugh.She is confident when it comes to plays and standing up at the front of class.She is also confident when bullies bully her and call her name she is still confident of standing up and the front of them and talking to them. She is always excited when it comes sports or things that are funner than homework.She is only happy when everything goes her way.She is also naughty like fully naughty that she always gets in trouble.

I think I did well because I had a idea in my mind of how my character actions and how she looks.I knew how explain about her and what she does and love.

Ready,Set,Design

Ready,Set,Design

Hi welcome to today's blog in class we got to post a blog post about something we did this week.That was ready,set,design.We where all in a group of 4.We had to make something that when our teacher Mr Riceman walks out of class we have to make shore that he doesn't get wet.Me and my partner made a suitcase.

This is a suitcase that is waterproof.As you can see there is a purple button if you press it a umbrella will come up.In the inside is also waterproof so then he doesn't get his laptop or his other work papers wet and soggy.We had to design 3 or 2 in our groups.Our other design was a pack where he can charge his phone and where he can keep things safe in it. 

I think I did well because I had a idea in my mind about how I am going to design our  suitcase and I knew how to explain our suitcase.I also had something in my mind of doing a blog on my ready,set,design.

Hi welcome to my blog.Today in cyber smart we did a google drawing which had 6 squares on the side.Those 6 squares where for the people that have seen or commented on our blog before.Then we had circles where we could put images of the thing or the person.

I think it was hard because I didn't know what to say and it took  me a long time to finish.I thought about it so hard because I had no  idea which people that have looked at my blog before.
